After the attempted clean-up operation of the refugee's shelters by Durban's metro police, a picketing of the 'imbiso' event in Albert park - the apparent reason of the 'clean-up' - took place. These recordings offer some audio insights into the event: track 1-2 and 4-5 feature the children of the refugees (the amplified voices of the speakers at the 'imbiso' can be heard in the background) Tracks 3 and 10 picture on of the supporters of the refugees, the young Durban film-maker Similo. He talks about the documentary, he is working on at the moment and offers his own view on the events he filmed and witnessed. One of the refugees, Azisa, gives her view on 2010 - the looming world football spectacle to be staged in South Africa- (tracks 6-7); while the teenager Eugenie (tracks 8-9) reads from flyers distributed at the 'imbiso': reviews on the aftermath of the May xenophobia outrage in Alex (Alexandra/ Joburg).
